5 Unique Wedding Ceremony Ideas

Weddings

When you’re planning your wedding it can be easy to overlook the ceremony. That’s the “easy part,” the aspect that is pretty standard and expected! … but it doesn’t have to be that way!

Here are 5 unique ideas for your upcoming ceremony that will leave a memorable impression on your guests and be something to remember for years to come!

1. Cleansing of the rings

According to JA Readings, “Ceremonial ring blessing between two people is an amazing way to encourage positive energy with love and compassion, truth and faithfulness.”

2. Forget the sand, blend your own wine!

Engagedandready.com puts it like this: “In general its most basic premise is that wine contains both bitter and sweet properties which symbolize the bitter and sweet aspects of life.”

3. Ring warming ceremony with your parents and/or grandparents

Ring Warming

Forego passing your rings around to everyone (we’re still in a pandemic and #germs) and just include your parent’s and grandparents. Withtheseringshandmade.com says, “A ring warming is when you give your loved ones the opportunity to hold and imbue your wedding bands with a wish, blessing or prayer for your marriage.”

4. Skip the run-of-the-mill music and invite special performers

Wedding Special Performance

Differentiating your ceremony from everyone else’s can be as easy as incorporating music that is part of your culture or having a live performance from the first concert that you went to together!

5. Exit your ceremony with a bang… or ribbons!

Wedding Ceremony Exit

No need to save your grand finale for the end of the night. Skipping the traditional receiving line and adding a fun exit to your ceremony is the perfect way to get those energetic and fun shots in the middle of the day instead of fighting the night sky (and boozy guests)!

At the end of the day, your wedding ceremony can be as unique and “you” as you’d like it to be. There are not hard rules or guidelines and I encourage you to push the boundaries! I love a good photo opportunity!
