Irish Countryside Wedding Inspiration

K. Layne Styled, Styled Shoot, Weddings

As a military family, you gear up to move about every 3 years. At our previous duty station, Camp Lejeune, I decided to take my photography hobby to the next level. There, I focused on children and families but I knew that I wanted to transition to wedding photography!

When we moved to Virginia, it seemed like the perfect time to make the transition. A new place, a new business, and a lot to learn! How the heck was I going to figure this out?

I fell into a deep rabbit hole of how to book clients without a personal, real wedding portfolio and discovered styled shoots. I’d found my avenue…

By February, I was planning my own shoot and trying to find a shoot to join as soon as possible. When I saw the styled board for this Irish Countryside inspired shoot, I knew I had to be a part of it!

From the “handfasting ceremony” to the landscape choices, the thought that went into the styled shoot was exactly what I needed to get my feet wet. I’m so grateful to have been a part of it and, even better, it was picked up for publication by On the Go Bride!
